More construction is on the way as work on Richmond Street in Chatham starts today.
The stretch between Bloomfield and Keil Drive will be widened so that a continuous two-way left turn lane can be added.
Improvements will also be made to traffic signals and intersections, and the existing road will be removed and replaced.
The road will be reduced to one lane in each direction, and businesses will remain open.
Construction is expected to last until November.
