Pedestrians continue to enter the Fifth Street Bridge construction site.
According to the Chatham-Kent Engineering and Transportation department, trespassers have damaged materials and equipment on site.
This isn’t the first time pedestrians have entered the site, as several were seen removing fences in the area earlier this month.
With the bridge being dismantled this week, the area is even more dangerous than before, and Engineering and Transportation authorities are warning residents to stay away from the area.
They’re reminding residents that the bridge is still closed to all traffic, including cars, bikes, and pedestrians.
Trespassing on the bridge is not only very dangerous, but illegal as well.
