The United Way of Chatham-Kent is looking for some help getting kids the supplies they need for back to school.
Good Neighbours Coordinator Mary Symons says they still need some backpacks and some school supplies.
“Operation BackPacks is an opportunity to assist parents who are a bit financially stressed. They can request a backpack for their son or daughter, filled with grade-appropriate supplies. This ensures they will have the tools they need to participate in school and engage with their classmates”, says Symons.
Symons says if you’d like to donate school supplies or if you’d like to volunteer to pack and deliver the backpacks, she can be reached at 519-354-0430 from Monday to Friday, 9:00AM – 4:30PM, or by e-mail at [email protected].
The deadline to request a backpack is August 22nd.
