A local drama festival will continue, with or without its title sponsor.
That’s according to the district convener of the Sears Drama festival, Devin Pearson.
The JMSS teacher says the local group hasn’t met yet, and doesn’t know what’s going on at the provincial level.
“We have not met as a committee yet, but we will make a decision in the next couple weeks about where we want to go, I think the general feeling from the the sense I get from our group is that we’d like to continue with at least our district festival,” says Pearson. “And hope and keep our fingers crossed that a sponsor will come along and take the reigns of the provincial competition.”
The 2017 provincial festival was held in Chatham this past May.
