As many as 150 local residents will be heading to Huron County this week to take in the 2017 International Plowing Match.
Co-chair of the 2018 IPM, Leon Leclair says they’ll be shadowing their committee counterparts over the next five days.
“What they’ve done, how they’ve done it, if they’ve had a few pitfalls, and we all do have pitfalls when you have big events like this,” Leclair says. “It’s just the knowledge so that we don’t duplicate something that didn’t work right and make something better.”
Meantime, Leclair says plans are coming together for next year’s event in Chatham-Kent, and he’s confident it will make local residents proud.
