The Chatham Goodfellows are gearing up for another year of ensuring there is No Child Without a Christmas.
The group kicked off its 2017 campaign last night with its 63rd annual general meeting.
Each year, the Goodfellows volunteers collect donations, and pack up as many as 1600 boxes of food and toys to give to those in need around the community.
A number of awards were handed out at last night’s event, including the President’s Award, going to the Real Canadian Superstore for its support of the campaign, and a Lifetime Achievement Award for the Williston family, who have been helping out the organization for 58 years.
As well, Connie Mardling, who began volunteering with the organization as a girl, has been chosen as this year’s Ms Goodfellow.

December 1: deadline for applications
December 4: Porchlight Campaign
December 11-14: Toy packing
