A sprinkler system helped contain an early morning fire at Canadian Tire in Blenheim on Thursday.
Officials with Chatham-Kent Fire and Emergency Services say that the activation of the sprinkler system helped prevent the fire from spreading.
While the extent of the damage is still being investigated, authorities say it could have been a lot worse if the sprinkler system wasn’t working.
Authorities say the cause of the fire was accidental.
