The Salvation Army needs some help to staff their signature Red Kettles.

Captain Stephen Holland says the numbers are down, simply because they don’t have the people they need.

“We’re down about $12,000 in Chatham, up about $1,200 in Wallaceburg and in Blenheim we’re down about $2,000 from last year this time,” says Holland. “A lot of that is because we haven’t been able to put our kettles out because we don’t have the volunteers. A kettle can’t be out unless we have some somebody standing with it a couple hours at a time.”

Holland says you can call him directly at 519-354-8353, and he’ll put you in touch with the people that organize each area.
