With Bob Crawford moving from Community Development back to Chatham-Kent’s fire department, some changes are being made at the Civic Centre.
In order to move forward with Chatham-Kent’s priorities, CAO Don Shropshire has organized several municipal services into different departments.
The revamped Community Development Department will be led by former Chief Legal Officer John Norton – the department consists of planning services, legal services, Fire & EMS, Building Development Services, and licensing.
April Rietdyk, General Manager of Health and Family Services, will lead the new Community Human Services Department, overseeing the library, Seniors Services, Public Health, and other services.
The Infrastructure and Engineering Department will be led by General Manager Thomas Kelly, whose department will include Public Works, the airport, and the capital and lifecycle budgets.
Corporate Services will be led by Cathy Hoffman, and Finance Budget and IT Services will be led by General Manager and Chief Financial Officer Mike Turner.
