Recent power outages in Ridgetown have been outside of Entegrus’ control. Power has gone out in the area 3 times over the past two weeks.
VP of Engineering and Operations Keith McAllister says the most recent outage was due to a loss of supply on the supplier’s end.
McAllister says there are a number of other factors as well:
“We did have a couple of equipment failures, which doesn’t mean that it’s old, it just means that for whatever reason it broke down, we have all sorts of various reasons,” says McAllister. “One was a tree, one was a customer, half of our outages have been loss of supply and I’ve contacted our supplier to see what they’re doing on their side to see what they’re doing on their side as well.”
Entegrus says Ridgetown was their worst-performing feeder last year, and they will continue to invest in all areas of Chatham-Kent to continue to provide their service.
