A fundraiser for the ALS Society is back on its feet after a tumultuous weekend.
Chatham-Kent Police were contacted Saturday morning after someone broke into John McGregor Secondary School in Chatham, where the annual Dave Allin Classic basketball tournament was taking place, and a number of items from a charity auction were reported stolen.
However, authorities say the suspects were located and a majority of the stolen items were returned within five hours of the initial break-in.
All proceeds from the auction were earmarked for the Windsor-Essex County ALS Society.
