The quick work of a Chatham-Kent police officer means a 67-year-old woman was shaken but not seriously hurt following a single vehicle crash on the Prince Albert Rd yesterday.
Police say the woman lost control and slid into a water filled ditch around 4:30pm.
Constable Scott Renders was the first on the scene.
With water filling the vehicle and the woman unable to get out, he smashed a window and freed the woman.
He was unhurt, she was taken to hospital as a precaution.
