With just over six months until Chatham-Kent’s International Plowing Match, the organizing committee has a new coordinator.
Pain Court resident Allison Terfloth is taking over the helm, assisting the volunteer committees and using her extensive background in theatre administration and management to ensure the rural expo runs smoothly.
“I’m a professional stage manager, I have worked all over the world,” Terfloth says. “Being able to facilitate, to talk with all the different committees, the different volunteers, and bring everybody together so that we’re all working in tandem, when you have different groups working together the communication needs to go two ways: what do you need, how can we help, that’s what my role will be.”
In the meantime, Terfloth says there is still a great need for volunteers.
“If anyone is interested in helping behind the scenes, helping at the plowing match, helping around the different communities, we have a spot for you.”
