It was a night of food, drinks, and fundraising in Chatham.

The annual Foundation of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Parade of Chefs featured Chef Michael Hunter, and drew a sold-out crowd to the John D Bradley Convention Centre.

Executive Director Mary Lou Crowley was left overwhelmed by the experience.

“Chatham-Kent is probably the most generous, warm, welcoming community that I’ve ever experienced in my career,” Crowley says. “I’m proud to live here and to be leading a Foundation where we’ve got people in our community that want to support, and that’s incredible.”

Officials haven’t released a finally tally on the amount of money raised, although the live auction portion alone brought in $17,000.

All proceeds from the night support the hospital’s Diagnostic Imaging Equipment Renewal Campaign, which is now just $1-million away from its goal.

Crowley says they hope to reach the $6.9 million mark by the end of May.
