After a bit of a slump, the Chatham-Kent real estate market is springing back. We get the details from 99.1’s Morena McDonald:
After a 4 year-low in real estate activity earlier this year, the Chatham-Kent Association of Realtors says more homes traded hands last month than in any month of March over the past 12 years.
While the number of new listings was the lowest March level since 1989, the demand remains high – with the average price of a home sold last month reaching just over $188,000
President Steve Carroll says the number of active listings is down 24% from this time last year, and is the lowest level on record.
