Water Wells First wants to bring issues surrounding well contamination to a new venue: schools.

Kevin Jakubec, Water Wells First spokesman

Spokesperson Kevin Jakubec says the younger generation could be a legacy idea.

“Parents and grandparents, that’s the backbone of Water Wells First, but we’re seeing that we’re having an impact on high school kids, we’re hearing stories that our issue with water well contamination is being taught in science classes ,” Jakubec says. “We need to inspire our next generation, maybe come up with some kind of internship program to teach them environmental stewardship and water security.”

Jakubec says Water Wells First is built by parents and grandparents and expanding would be a good thing.
