If organizers of the upcoming International Plowing Match and Rural Expo have their way, the Pain Court event could make its way into the record books. 
A volunteer recruitment meeting is being held on Thursday to discuss plans to set Guinness World Records for the longest skewer of vegetables, largest container of popcorn, and largest smoothie.
As well, the committee is hoping to attract celebrity chef Bob Blumer to the event and introduce a challenge for future IPM host communities to beat the largest number of people eating corn on the cob simultaneously.
Thursday night’s meeting is being held at the church hall in Pain Court, starting at 7pm.
