With the legalization of marijuana expected to be in effect by the end of the summer, municipal staff are getting ready to handle it at the local level.
At last night’s Cannabis forum at the Civic Centre, a number of plans were revealed from several sectors of the municipality.
Chatham-Kent Police say they have 22 officers trained to do standard field sobriety tests, and the Public Health Unit will be focusing on education, awareness, and addiction services.
A few areas remain up in the air as officials wait on final legislation from the federal government.
