It’s going to be hot in Chatham-Kent this weekend.
Environment Canada has issued a prolonged heat warning for southwestern Ontario, as a warm front moves through the region.
Officials say temperatures could get as high as 31 Celsius or 88 Fahrenheit today, and up to 35 or 95 on Sunday.
Residents are reminded to drink lots of water and stay in a cool place such as tree-shaded areas, or air-conditioned buildings.
Officials also say to never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle.
Temperatures are expected to be back to seasonal on Tuesday.
