The 16th annual Relay For Life Cancer fundraiser took place in Chatham Friday night, and they had a great turnout despite the showers.
Darcy Derdecker, the Community Fund Raising Specialist for Chatham-Kent says they had some groups bring in big bucks. “ The Lancers Fighting Cancer was once again the top youth group bringing in $ 6,000 dollars. Geeks with sneaks was the top corporate team also raising over $ 6,000 dollars. And Team Inspired was the top community team pulling in over $ 3,000 dollars.”
They should have a total by midweek, but the goal this year was $ 70,000 dollars.
