A Ward 5 candidate is hoping to get some feedback from Wallaceburg residents.
Aaron Hall is running in the upcoming municipal election, and has launched a unique initiative.
“With my election campaign, I thought it was vital to talk to the community and to listen and to understand what is important to my fellow Wallaceburg residents. So that’s why I launched a community engagement initiative called Project 627,” says Hall.
He says he chose ‘627’ because that’s the area code used in Wallaceburg. This number is tied closely to his campaign.
“I want hear 6 issues that people are concerned about, 2 promises that people are willing to make themselves, and 7 things that people love about the community,” Hall explains.
Infrastructure and healthcare are two local concerns that Hall suspects he may see come up often in the results.
Hall says he will be releasing the results in October, closer to the election on October 22nd. If he’s unsuccessful in becoming a Councillor in Ward 5, Hall says he will share the results of the survey with the successful candidates. If successful, he plans on bringing the data to Council.
He says he encourages other communities to launch similar initiatives.
