The clock is ticking for anyone who’d like to try their hand at municipal politics. 
Long-time councillor Joe Faas has announced he’s running for re-election in North Kent.
Out of six candidates running for two seats in Ward 4, Faas is the only incumbent. Political newcomer Jessica Brooks added her name to the list on Friday as well.
Meantime Tanya Bondy joins five others vying for one of three seats in South Kent, and MaryAnn Hawthorne has filed her papers to run for one of two seats in East Kent.
The deadline for nominations is this coming Friday.
Chatham-Kent residents head to the polls on October 22nd.
