A number of Chatham-Kent residents, primarily in the Tilbury area, are still in the dark after powerful storms ripped across the region last night.
At last check, over 700 customers in Tilbury are still without power, although Hydro One expects to have all the lights back sometime this afternoon.
There were no serious injuries reported, but the storm felled a handful of trees, knocking down power lines in Tilbury, Chatham, and Bothwell.
In the meantime, schools in Tilbury are closed today because of flooding in the area. It’s not clear whether they’ll be ready to open again tomorrow.
