A Wallaceburg man is in trouble after an incident last night.
Chatham-Kent Police say around 7:30 yesterday evening, a 21-year-old man went to visit his cousin in Wallaceburg. While inside, he placed two Bluetooth speaks and three baseball caps into a backpack, then grabbed a bicycle and tried to walk out.
The homeowner tried to stop him, but the man pushed her out of the way and left. Early this morning, the man returned and police were called.
Police say they placed the man under arrest and he tried to pull away. Officials say the officer deployed a taser and took the man into custody.
The Wallaceburg man of no fixed address has been charged with robbery, and is in custody pending a bail hearing.
Another young man is facing charges after chasing his neighbour down a hallway with a knife.
Chatham-Kent Police say the man then went back to his apartment. Police were called and the man refused to cooperate. Officers deployed a taser and when the man was taken into custody, officers found the knife on him.
The 23-year-old Chatham man has been charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault with a weapon, and resisting a peace officer.
