As the weather gets colder, the Salvation Army is getting ready for Operation Cover-Up.
The initiative collects winter coats and jackets for local residents in need.
Captain Karen Holland says you can donate gently used coats at any of their locations, but monetary donations are welcome as well.
“The money stays without our community. we definitely can’t [do this] without the generosity of people in our community. if you cant give financially, we can certainly use your volunteer hours for the kettles when they come up in all four locations – Ridgetown, Blenheim, Wallaceburg, and Chatham,” says Holland.
Holland says the coats will be distributed this week at all four locations.
