The Chatham Goodfellows are kicking off their annual No Child Without a Christmas Campaign.
Spokesman Tim Mifflin says the organization helped collect toys and food for over 1,400 families last year, and they’ll likely see an increase this year.
“We’ve never set a goal for how many people or how much money we raise, we rely on Chatham-Kent to help us out,” Mifflin explains. “We will probably provide for more folks, we hope and pray that we have a great response from the community in terms of donations, but that’s the way we’ve functioned for 64 years.”
The Goodfellows have also announced that Mark Lacina and Ann Preston will be this year’s Mr. and Mrs. Goodfellow.
At their kick-off event last night, they also named Fred Osmon with the Lifetime Achievement Award, and gave the President’s Award to Giant Tiger.

. Street Sales are being conducted on Friday, December 14 and Saturday, December 15.
. Food packing is at Spirit and Life Centre (St. Joseph Site), packing/delivery on Tuesday December 18 – packing beginning at 8am – deliveries beginning at 11:30 am.
