Incoming councillor Karen Kirkwood-Whyte is trying to raise awareness surrounding transportation gaps and shortfalls.
Kirkwood-Whyte says she sat on a group that tried to get some upper level money to improve local transportation.
“We decided that in order to prepare a really fulsome application the next time, we needed more information from people who had actually ridden the transit system,” Kirkwood-Whyte explains.
An online survey was launched in partnership with the Southwestern Ontario Transportation Alliance earlier this fall.
“Initially what we’re looking for is some feedback on how long the buses take to get from one place to the other,” Kirkwood-Whyte says. “One of the issues related to employment is are there people who are actually not able to get to work or get home from work with the existing situation.”
You can find the online survey here. The deadline for submissions is November 30th.
