A new task force is in the works, aimed at helping to solve issues in agriculture.

Earlier this month, Minister of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs Ernie Hardeman announced a formal agricultural advisory group will be launched to help give perspective in policy discussions.

Officials with the Grain Farmers of Ontario say that the new task force aligns directly with an election ask they put forward back in May.

According to the province’s Fall Economic Statement, the task force will meet regularly to discuss issues that impact agriculture, such as trade, and will provide input on crucial future decisions.
