January is Crime Stoppers Month in Chatham-Kent.
To mark the event, the Crime Stoppers flag was raised at the Civic Centre this week.
To celebrate, they will be hosting a pair of free skates. Next Sunday from 1-2:30pm at the Thames Campus Arena in Chatham, and Jan 20th at the Bothwell Arena from 2-3:30pm.
The local organization received 805 tips in 2018 and helped solve more than 150 cases.
Last year, the program was successful in seizing $258,808 in drugs and stolen property. Crime Stoppers also recovered 18 stolen vehicles, 18 weapons and located 8 wanted persons.
