The Lord Selkirk Bridge is being closed to all river traffic until May.
It’s a change for the original plan, which only closed traffic to boats that needed the bridge open in order to pass.
The expectation is to have one section of the bridge in working order in June.
Officials say they are trying to maintain a safe construction site for both workers and marine traffic.
The bridge is still expected to be finished and open to all traffic by the end of August.
