Local educators continue to look over provincial changes to class size, curriculum, and staffing at schools across the province.
Education Minister Lisa Thompson announced a number of initiatives on Friday, including a province-wide ban on cellphones in the classroom, changes to math and health curriculums, and hiring practices.
Officials with the St Clair Catholic District School Board say there’s a lot of information to unpack, and likely won’t be able to make a public comment until later in the week.
Meantime, teachers’ unions are up in arms, claiming some of the changes are in violation of collective bargaining rights, and put students at risk.
