A funding boost for Chatham-Kent’s new animal shelter. 
The local chapter of 100 Women Who Care have handed over a cheque to the Friends of the New Shelter for $11,925, proceeds from the group’s February meeting.
The group meets four times a year – at each meeting, local charities are nominated by members; one is selected by a majority vote to receive the collective donation.
Since August 2016, 100+ Women Who Care has donated more than $110,000 to almost a dozen local charities.
The group’s next meeting is being held on May 29th at the Retro Suites Derby Hall.
