Dozens of Wallaceburg residents had the chance to bend the ear of some local police officers this morning.
Constable Renee Cowell says some good conversations were had at McDonalds with the police service’s Coffee with a Cop event.
“We have some traffic concerns that were brought to our attention this morning. some youths that are going around checking vehicles for unlocked doors. So these are all little things that a lot of times people think they don’t need to call us, but these are incidents we do need to know about so we can better direct our patrols.” says Cowell. “Normally we meet people under stressful situations but today is a day we can meet, have a coffee and a casual conversation.”
Cowell says there will be more of these types of casual events planned in other communities in the weeks and months ahead.
