911 Call Leads to Charges

A Chatham woman is facing a slew of charges stemming from a hang-up 911 call.

Chatham-Kent Police got a 911 hang up last night.

The dispatcher called back, but the woman on the other end wouldn’t give them any information.

Police were able to track down her address and sent an officer, who saw the woman pulling into her driveway.

Suspecting she was under the influence, police brought her to headquarters for tests.

Authorities eventually discovered she’d been involved in a domestic dispute earlier in the evening.

The 32-year-old is facing a number of charges, including impaired driving, assault, assault with a weapon, and two counts of uttering threats.

The man involved in the dispute has also been charge – turns out he was under a court order not to speak with her in the first place.
