Wallaceburg councillors are teaming up with the BIA for this year’s Earth Week.
Taking place on April 27th in partnership with Pitch-In Canada, Aaron Hall says the Community Clean-Up Day is open to everyone.
“It’s all about civic pride, and taking pride in our community. We want it looking nice for our visitors and for the people who live here. It will be a nice informal, fun event,” says Hall.
Organizers will be signing up members for the Garden Club for $5.
“The Garden Club is something that the BIA had the idea to start, and I suggested with this Pitch-In Canada event, it might be a good launching point for it,” Hall explains.
Hall says there’s no formal registration required to participate in the Community Clean-Up day, but anyone interested in learning more can visit their Facebook event page.
“Letting us know you’re coming on there will give us a better idea of who’s coming. Everybody is welcome to come, the more the merrier. If we have more demand, we’ll get more garbage bags,” says Hall.
