Great news for a local woman who’s been battling leukemia.
Jocelyn McGlynn underwent a stem cell transplant at a cancer care centre in Buffalo, New York this past February and announced on her Facebook page yesterday that a recent biopsy showed the donor cells have almost 100% taken over and there is no trace of residual disease.
“Where my disease was, myeloid, I am 100% donor cells,” McGlynn writes. “Forever thankful for your support, my donor and my God. Words cannot begin to describe how full my heart is with gratitude and love.”
The 21-year-old is expected to be able to come back home at the beginning of June.
