As it prepares for its inaugural year, the Otter Creek Jam Fest is giving back to the community.
A portion of the proceeds from the August event will be supporting the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
“I might not be here today is it wasn’t for the work, research and commitment of the Kidney Foundation of Canada,” says Otter Creek co-founder Dennis DeBot. “Their work and effort helped equip the healthcare professionals, who helped me, with vital research and knowledge to do their job correctly. My family and I want to do what I can to ensure others can benefit in the same way for years to come.”
Organizers say various local organizations, including WAMBO, will also benefit from the festival, although specific details have yet to be released.
The Otter Creek Jam Fest is being held on the Civic Holiday long weekend, August 2-3, near the intersection of Margaret and Kimball Road, just outside Wallaceburg.
