The Chatham-Kent Health Alliance is pleased with the results of a recent staff satisfaction report.
CEO Lori Marshall says before provincial supervision, staff satisfaction was below the provincial average, but nearly 3 years later, they’re in the top 25% of hospitals in Ontario.
Not only have we exceeded the provincial average for staff engagement scores we are also in the top 25% in the province. That is definitely something everybody in this organization can be proud of,” reveals Marshall. “We know that there is a high correlation between staff satisfaction and engagement and patient satisfaction. So staff that are feeling good about their role and enjoy coming to work are automatically going to provide care to patients in a way that will further influence our patient satisfaction. So we look forward to those scores continuing to improve.”
Marshall says they’ve also seen an increase in staff feeling that their concerns are being addressed.
