An online fundraiser has been launched to support the family of a Chatham teen.
18-year-old Kyle Benedict drowned earlier this week in Meldrum Bay on the southwest shore of Manitoulin Island.
The incident remains under investigation by the Office of the Chief Coroner and Forensic Pathology Service.
The John McGregor Secondary School student was a member of the 59th Legion Highlander Army Cadet Corps.
A GoFundMe page has already raised more than half of its $5000 goal.
