Organizers are putting the finishing touches on this weekend’s Otter Creek Jam Fest.

Wallaceburg will be rocking this weekend with inaugural music festival just outside Wallaceburg includes headliners Trooper and Tom Cochrane and Red Rider.

Local bands will take the stage just after 1 o’clock Friday afternoon.

The headliners will be coming on until at nine and playing until about 11 both days, the tribute bands come on at 7.

Spokesman Brian Armitage says they’re getting lots of great feedback already.

“We’e had some top people in the industry visit the site, look at what we’re doing, and they’ve all given us the thumbs us, saying you’re doing it right, you’re not getting too big, you’re bringing in Juno Award winning bands, you have everything in place.”

Armitage says online ticket sales show lots of people will be coming from outside of Chatham-Kent to attend one or both days of the festival, but they could use some more local support.

Tickets can be purchased online or at select retailers around Wallaceburg and Chatham.
