A week of inclusive celebrations are kicking off in Chatham-Kent as the municipality marks Pride Week.
The festivities kick off with a flag raising ceremony at the Civic Centre in Chatham over the noon-hour with Pride flags flying at eight municipal service centres throughout the week.
The bulk of the celebrations will be next weekend with the second annual Pride parade through downtown Chatham and a party in Tecumseh Park, followed by a dance at the Chatham Banquet Hall ON Merritt.
The week wraps up with an open service at St Andrew’s United Church Sunday afternoon.
