Organizers are thrilled with this year’s CIBC Run for the Cure.
Despite a little rain yesterday morning, 363 people turned out for the event, the second year it’s been held locally.
Although donations are still being accepted, initial figures show the run raised a whopping $60,237.
That’s almost $19,000 more than the 2018 event.
Enbridge won the Corporate Spirit Award for top fundraising corporate team. The Rockettes won the Friends and Family Award for top fundraising team. Gord Dillon won the Determination Award for top individual fundraiser.
Nation-wide, an estimated 1$7-million was raised for breast cancer research this year.
