Crews continue to plug away at repairs to Wallaceburg’s Lord Selkirk Bridge.
The bridge is being sandblasted right now to prepare for painting.
Municipal officials say after that, the remaining electrical and mechanical installations will be done, and the McNaughton Avenue span is still on track to reopen to vehicles and pedestrians in mid-November.
However, there will still be more work to be done.
The contractor will remain on site for more testing and clean-up, which isn’t expected to have any impact on traffic.
