Turbine Case Tossed

An emotional day for wind turbine opponents in the former Dover Township.

Their long awaited day in court was shorter than they had hoped, as the case against Ontario’s environment Ministry and local wind farms was over before it even began.

The Office of the Attorney General intervened, saying there was not enough evidence to proceed with allegations that wind turbines caused contaminants to enter well water in North Kent.

Resident Christine Burke filed the allegations, she was in tears following the bombshell.

“All I’m going to say… is that we’re moving forward with our lawyer to pursue other options… and I’m going to leave it at that.”

A number of families contend their wells have been ruined by the turbine construction and operation in North Kent.
