A section of Talbot trail currently closed outside Wheatley may stay that way permanently.
A report by Golder Associates say the slope has been receding at a rate of more than 15times the historical average, and up to 7.5m a year.
High lake levels and storm water intrusion into the bank face are to blame according to the report.
Based on the company analysis, the roadway should remain closed until such time the bank is stabilized.
There’s no estimate to how much that could cost.
Council will discuss the report at the November 18th council meeting.
