Charges have been laid after a transport was found at the Blue Water Bridge trying to bring as much as 50 kilograms of cocaine into Canada.
The Canada Border Services Agency says the truck was pulled over for a secondary inspection on November 18th after officers noticed an inconsistency in the weight of some of the boxes in the shipment.
A 52-year-old Markham man will make a court appearance in Sarnia next month, charged with importing a controlled substance and possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Authorities say the investigation is ongoing.
