Calls about a suspicious man in Merlin have landed a local man with a slew of charges. 
Officers were called about a disturbance yesterday morning.
Investigators say the man had threatened a woman while trying to steal her van, and then allegedly drove off in a truck that was left unattended and running.
The suspect was tracked down and has now been charged with uttering threats, attempted theft and theft of a vehicle, and causing a disturbance, among other things.
He was held in custody for a bail hearing.
