It appears Chatham-Kent is going to miss out on funding for the province’s Municipal Modernization Program.
The municipality had been looking for funding to help cover the costs of implementing a new Electronic Records Management Corporate Assessment, which was expected to cost upwards of $2-million.
The province announced a number of successful bids at a conference in Toronto this week, but Chatham-Kent wasn’t on the list.
Municipal officials say what isn’t clear at this point is whether that’s the final list, or if further announcements could be made.
