Prime minister Trudeau announced Tuesday there will be $350 million used to set up an Emergency  Community Support Fund.

This money will go to charities and non profits to help keep up their local services.

He pointed to cuts and reductions to services to our most vulnerable must be dealt with.

A lot of the cash will be dispensed through national agencies like the United Way and Canadian Red Cross.

Locally the money will be used to train new volunteers and drive seniors to appointments or help them with deliveries.

In another financial boost he says the charities and non profits are eligible to apply for the wage subsidy program that opens on Monday the 27th.
