The province of Quebec will gradually open elementary schools and daycares in the coming weeks.
Education Minister Jean-François Roberge says elementary students will be back in class on May 11th, except for the greater Montreal area.
Class sizes will be limited to begin and distancing measures will be put in place.
Daycares and elementary schools in Montreal, Laval and area will re-open on May 19th.
Timelines could be changed if cases of COVID-19 escalate, according to Premier Francois Legault.
High schools, colleges and universities are expected to reopen in late August.
